Primary Bathroom Reveal

Date

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working on taking our primary bathroom from small and sad to grand and gorgeous! Skip to Shop the Space

A full renovation was not in our budget so we used the power of paint along with lots of other style tips to give the illusion of a larger space without physically changing the size. I’m going to let the before and after photos speak for themselves!

For all the details on the style tips we utilized for this transformation, don’t miss this post!

Bold, moody color highlights the tile rather than fighting against it like the original blue. This tile was here when we moved in, and while it’s not really our style, it looks so much more high end paired with Jasper (walls and ceiling) and Retreat (trim and door) from HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams!

It took us some time to decide whether or not we wanted to replace the shower door with a new, taller one or with a shower curtain. We actually purchased this stunning extra tall shower door, but in the end returned it and went with a shower curtain to soften the space.

Pro Tip: Don’t limit yourself to the shower curtain section! This is actually a table cloth!

We also had some challenges with our vanity. Our original selection ended up not fitting with the location of our sink plumbing, so we needed to find something without drawers in order for it to fit. I think the black vanity was always meant to be. It’s just so striking against the green!

Adding small details like plants added character and really cozied up the space!

I also added a valance to our small bathroom window which makes the window feel wider and really pulls together the cottage vibes we love!

I found a trio of gorgeous antique frames and added inexpensive vintage art prints from Etsy. I also thrifted this wall planter that was originally filled with silk greens. It looks perfect in this space!

We also made small swaps like changing our toilet seat and the flush handle. I love the old world feeling of the black!
