Since painting the walls, doors and trim, the room is really starting to come together! We’ve begun to stage everything to get a much better feel for the flow of the room! And the flow is feeling amazing!

My dad helped me hang the wallpaper and may I just say, stripes are SO much easier to hang than other prints! Lick provided the wallpaper, along with the paint, and we were really impressed with the quality! It is the perfect statement wall this room needed for an extra edge!

With all of the major projects checked off the list, I’ve been enjoying hanging all of the artwork and putting the smaller details together like lighting and plants. I won’t be able curate every last thing for the room by the big reveal, but there is a benefit to taking the time to select the best pieces for the space as they are discovered.

With the back of the bookshelf wallpapered, I can finally put in the shelves and style them! They plan is to use the for art and game storage using acrylic bins to keep everything contained in a beautiful way. Form AND function!

I also made over our sofa and loveseat this week, and I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner! By simply giving them a thorough cleaning, adding king sized pillows to the back cushions, and swapping out the legs, these pieces look like brand new, high end furniture! Initially I had been really bummed that we weren’t able to get a sectional for this makeover, but in hindsight, I’m so happy we are able to use what we already own and absolutely love how it looks!

Next week is the BIG REVEAL and I can’t wait to share all of the angles and little details that make this room feel so special. It’s turning out to be everything I hoped for and more!
