I absolutely love finding affordable ways to upcycle other peoples’ unwanted items! Sustainability is so important to my family and finding new ways to upcycle means making affordable decor for our home! My neighbors were purging recently and put a large metal bird bath out on the curb for trash. I ran across the street so fast to grab the top piece because I instantly knew it would make an amazing tray for a centerpiece! After giving it a thorough cleaning, I used my go-to spray paint Rustoleum Ultra Cover in flat black and gave it a few thin coats.

Besides the hole in the middle, I don’t think anyone would ever guess it had its origins as a bird bath! I may even end up using it as a large serving tray and place a cloth napkin down on the bottom first!
