DIY Halloween Cauldron

Date

I picked up this large planter from the curb a few months ago and loved all of the carved detail and ring handles. I decided it would be the absolute perfect cauldron for my Halloween home and I want to show you how easy it was to make!

How to Make a cauldron out of a planter

What you need

  • Grecian urn planter – look for thrifted ones or buy one here!

OR

How to Make it

1. Paint your cauldron if needed

2. Fill your cauldron almost full with recyclable items.

3. Lay black fabric over the top and tuck in the edges

4. Arrange 1 or 2 sets of battery operated lights on top of the fabric

5. Arrange ornaments on top to look like bubbles.

* Optional – glue your bubbles together so they don’t move

I’m so excited to display this at our annual Halloween Party and on our porch for Trick or Treat night! My friends Paula Ab-ghoul, McRibb, and Bugs Boney are certainly enjoying it too!
