My Christmas Tree 2022

Date

Yes, we have more that one Christmas tree, but the one we put up in our family room by the fireplace is definitely the primary tree and the one where the most special ornaments go. That’s also where Santa leaves the presents! I’m sharing all the ways I decorated our main Christmas tree. Are you surprised they’re all affordable, sustainable, and simple to style?

While the other trees mostly stay the same year to year, I like to style the “main tree” based upon the Christmas vibes I’m going for that year. I have been finding myself more and more attracted to moody vintage vibes through the past few months. We even painted our fireplace and mantle black! I wanted to deck out the Christmas tree to make her pop with sparkling vintage accents, moody warm tones, and some feminine touches like velvet ribbon.

The tree itself got her very own blog post because she is new, fabulous, and SMART! You can read all about that here!

I saw a photo on Pinterest this year of silver beaded garland and I was dying to try it! I found a roll of mini pearl garland and it’s such a large roll I probably could have used it on every one of our trees! I love the vintage feeling it gives and the silver looks so pretty with all of our brass and antique gold accents.

My DIY amber glass ornaments also found a home on this tree. They are the perfect moody touch with my antique red ornaments.

I also added gold velvet ribbon to my tree. I had never tied bows on my tree before and I love it so much! I might go back in and tie more bows in a thinner ribbon for some depth.

I’d love to know, do you keep your tree the same every year or do you like to change up the style? Let me know in the comments!

xoxo, L

love it? pin it for later!
