5 More Easy Ways to Dress Up Your Home For Spring

Date

Last year’s “5 Easy Ways” was such a hit that it was an obvious choice to put together 5 more tips! Try one or all five, but most importantly put your own spin on it to fill your home with things that make you “think Spring!”

1. bring in color

This tip is certainly based on your own style and preference, but my challenge to you is to not be afraid of color! I see major trends right now showcasing white and bright rooms with minimal color, but if color brings you joy, USE IT! I try to style my rooms with neutral tones so that I can interchange pops of color season to season. Over the winter months, I pulled in dark green tones and browns for a warm cozy vibe. Simply changing out my pillow covers and the tones of some of the pieces on my shelves completely changes the vibe of the space, making it feel brighter.

2. faux florals

Last year I suggested bringing in house plants and fresh flowers, and I still believe those are great ways to bring spring into your home! However, recently I have discovered GORGEOUS and budget friendly faux florals that look so real! Weekly fresh flowers can obviously get a little pricy, so if you’re looking for a budget friendly way to fill vases and other vessels with those gorgeous peonies and other Spring flowers we all love, faux is the way to go! Fill a basket on your front door, make a stunning table centerpiece or put a few stems in a bud vase on the kitchen counter. Pro Tip: to make faux flowers look real in a glass vase, add water to the vase!

3. art

Finding digital download prints on Etsy or even making your own wall art can be a great budget friendly way to dress up your home! Bring in holiday specific prints for Easter or some botanical prints to bring the outdoors inside. This is also a great way to introduce color into your space! Pro Tip: don’t discount thrift shops! They can be a great source for inexpensive art like this print I picked up for $2!

4. table linens

Spring makes me think of Easter brunches and the beginning of outdoor entertaining. It’s a perfect time of year to refresh cloth napkins or bring in a beautiful new tablecloth or runner! I like to dress up our dining table for the season, but we don’t eat at that table unless we are entertaining so I’m not constantly moving my décor. If you only have one table and don’t want to move things every day, try adding cute placemats for form and function!
