Even though I certainly have plenty of Christmas and winter décor for my home, I couldn’t resist picking up this large metal tree while thrifting at Goodwill today! I knew with a couple coats of spray paint it would look completely different! I just love sustainable upcycled home décor!

After giving it a quick cleaning with mild soap and water, I used my favorite gold spray paint to apply a few light coats of metallic gold. Doesn’t she look stunning on our black brick hearth?!

Pro Thrifting Tip: Keep looking for Christmas décor at thrift stores AFTER the holidays! I noticed a large increase in the amount of fall décor at my local Goodwill these past few weeks now that fall is over! I don’t know if people don’t want to pack all of their fall décor away or if it was a coincidence, but I found several great pieces for next fall that I will tuck away until then! Fingers crossed the same will happen after Christmas!
