Frequently Asked Questions about Simmer Pot Potpourri
Can I make these in advance?
You can pack your potpourri bags a few days in advance and keep them in the fridge until gifting. Encourage the recipient to do the same if they are not using it within the next 48 hours.
How long will my potpourri last?
You can use the same potpourri ingredients for multiple days. I generally will continue to reuse the same ingredients for up to 3 days before discarding. Continue to add more water to your pot and keep pot covered when not in use.
Can I use dried orange slices?
YES! You have the choice to either add a whole orange to your piping bag OR dry orange slices and use those instead! Both work well depending upon your desired presentation. For a simple tutorial on how to dry orange slices, click here!
NOTE: if gifting a fresh orange, tell the recipient to slice it prior to simmering!
