Vintage Orange and Black Halloween Table scape

Date

I have a thing for tablescapes. They just make my heart happy! So when the holidays roll around I’m constantly staging my dining table with my curated vintage finds and foraged goodies from our neighborhood.

Last year I styled this Spooky Soiree that was widely popular on Instagram and Pinterest. Do you follow me there? I was so excited to style another elegant spooky table – especially once I snagged this bird bath from the neighbor’s curb for free! I love the high drama it adds and inspired me to contrast black and pops of orange this year.

I bought one new thing for this table scape this year – a $5 black skull from Target. Everything else is recycled from past years’ Halloweens or upcycled and transformed from something unexpected. Pro Money Saving Tip: choose simple classic holiday décor that you can use year after year in new ways! See my staple decorations here!

I decided not to layer my spiderweb table cloth with another cloth this year and let my new (old) wood dining table peek through!

I wanted my upcycled bird bath to the be the star of the table so I chose not to add a table runner. I placed my new black skull in the middle for a little height and surrounded it with 3 brass candlesticks I thrifted. I love the contrast of black and brass! I filled my tray with gourds and acorns I spray painted flat black last year for my Spooky Soiree table. This was so easy to assemble and looks so creepy!

I wanted to keep the rest of my table simple so I chose not to use chargers and used my carnival glass dinner plates on their own. I placed a plastic snake on each one as a little scary surprise. I love the way they pop off of the orange plates!

Black sequin napkins add a little sparkle and glam which I think is perfect in our moody high drama dining room! I bought these last year and they have held up well through multiple washings.

I used my carnival glass water glasses and my grandmother’s sterling silver cutlery to go with my vintage vibe.

Do you host any Halloween Parties? We will be hosting our 10th annual Boos Booze and Brews this year and while I won’t be setting a fancy table like this for our family friendly festivities, I will definitely be incorporating this centerpiece into my décor!
