As the leaves change and temperatures drop, I’m ready to dive into Fall decorating! Instead of spending a lot of money on new decorations, I love walking through thrift stores to see what inspires me to create my own Fall home decor. Here are 5 beautiful and affordable DIY projects to bring Fall charm into your home without breaking the bank!
1. Pumpkin Pedestals
I found a couple of table lamps at the thrift store for just $5 each and turned them into beautiful pedestal stands for faux pumpkins. They make a great display for my front porch! You can find the simple step-by-step tutorial HERE.

2. Fall Candles
Small vessels are one of my favorite thrift store finds! As long as they’re made of metal or heat-safe glass, they can be turned into beautiful and unique candles, perfect for Fall or even as gifts! For my simple candle-making tutorial, click HERE.
3. Pumpkin Floral Centerpiece
You can easily create a stunning pumpkin floral centerpiece for your Fall table or console using either a carveable foam pumpkin or a hollow ceramic one from the thrift store. This project’s moody colors will take your decor from early Fall right through Thanksgiving!
4. Fall Wreath
Thrift stores are full of old wreaths just waiting for a makeover! Look for grapevine wreaths that you can disassemble and rebuild into something new and chic for your front door this Fall. I’ve even made a Fall wreath from an old picture frame! Start HERE for more inspiration and tutorials.
5. Chic Shelf Decor
Keep an eye out for Fall figurines like squirrels and owls to add some whimsy to your shelves. With a bit of spray paint or Rub ‘n Buff, you can transform a dated ceramic figurine into a stylish decoration that rivals expensive pieces. Stick to neutral tones like black, white, or gold for a polished, high-end look.
