Style a Cloche for Christmas

While cloches can be a bit pricey when purchased new, they are one of my favorite finds at thrift stores, yard sales, and flea markets. I just picked up a small cloche last week, bringing my collection to three! Here are five fun and festive ways to style your cloche for Christmas and make your home feel extra cozy and beautiful this holiday season.

DIY Style a Cloche

1. Winter scene

Create a charming winter scene inside your cloche, much like a snow globe—but without the shaking! Start by adding some faux snow to the base of the cloche, and nestle in small bottle brush trees for a touch of woodland magic. To add a pop of color and elegance, tie a burgundy velvet ribbon around the top. If you have one, include a little deer or reindeer figurine to complete the winter wonderland vibe!

2. Jingle Bells

For a playful touch, fill your cloche for Christmas with jingle bells. I’ve had the same big bag of jingle bells for years, having grabbed them during a Christmas clearance. They make a festive and simple decoration when placed inside a cloche. Plus, you can change the look each year by experimenting with different colored bells!

3. Vintage Ornaments

Vintage ornaments are my Christmas kryptonite! Whether inherited from family members or picked up at secondhand stores, they add so much personality to your decor. If you love the vintage style, display a few bright, colorful baubles inside your cloche. Not into the vintage look? You can always use modern ornaments or try making your own with one of my easy ornament upcycle crafts!

4. Christmas Village

While you may not be able to fit a full-size Christmas village under your cloche, a single house or a few tiny houses look just as cute. You can create a cozy scene with a vintage ceramic house or even a mini gingerbread house. It’s a sweet and nostalgic addition to your cloche for Christmas!

5. Special Family Treasures

Cloches are perfect for protecting and showcasing precious items, so why not highlight a special family treasure this Christmas? One of my favorites is a silver-plated ornament shaped like a present. We add our wishes and prayers for the year on New Year’s Day and open it on Christmas Eve the following year to reflect on them. Displaying this ornament in my newest cloche on our sofa table makes it even more meaningful.
